In Loving Memory of Earline L. Emmons (McKechnie)
Earline L. Emmons, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, surrounded by love.
Born in 1939 in Maine to Earland Florence (Choate) McKechnie, Earline was a true New Englander-practical, warm-hearted, and deeply connected to nature.
She spent her early years in Waterville and Bowdoinham, ME, where she developed a lifelong love for fishing and the outdoors.
Later in life, Earline met and married Herb, the love of her life, in Tamworth. Together, they built their home from the ground up- a cozy retreat where they spent many evenings watching bears and enjoying the surrounding wildlife. Earline's love for animals was constant throughout her life, and she always had pets to care for and enjoy.
Earline is survived by her ten children: Robert Ferguson & his wife Denia, Rex Ferguson, Earl Ferguson & his significant other Ramona, Norman Oak Jr. & his wife Julie, Pamela Signoretti & her husband Michael, Linda Rocheleau & her husband Armand, Pandora Clough & her husband Lee, Michael Oak & his wife Destiny, Christine Michaud & her husband Scott, Clifford Hibbard & his wife Cynthia. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was one of six siblings and was predeceased by her brothers Sandy, Clarence, and Ronald, and her sisters Christine and Paulette.
Mom was famous for roasting her turkey in a greased brown paper bag. This quirky tradition became a family favorite, producing not only a perfectly tender bird but unforgettable stories.
At home, she found peace in the company of her pet birds, whose cheerful songs filled her home with joy.
Celebration of Life Saturday, November 15th 3:00- 5:00 PM at Cookies Diner, Route 111, Hudson, NH. Guests are invited to bring a dish to share and a special memory of our beloved Earline. Please note: No alcohol will be permitted.
