Earline Hicks Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ideal Funeral Parlor - Florence on Jan. 27, 2026.
Mrs. Earline Eaddy Hicks was born on April 3, 1934, in Florence County, to the late

Floria Bartell Eaddy and Willie Eaddy. She attended Florence County Public Schools. She later

married William "Buster" Hicks, who preceded her in death, and together they built a loving home

and a beautiful family.

Along with her beloved husband and parents, Earline was preceded in death by her

sisters Patricia Capeheart, Sally Modeste, and Jocelyn Day-Reese. She is survived by her

brothers, Hezekiah (Georgia, preceded in death) Eaddy, Willie (Robertha, preceded in death)

Eaddy, Jr., Ronald (Vickie) Eaddy and a brother-in-law, Alfred (Claudia), preceded in death)

Hicks.

Earline is also survived by her children, William Howard Hicks, Sherry (Norris) Muldrow, Adrienne

(Charles, preceded in death) Pack, Dwayne (Deborah) Hicks; and her beloved bonus daughter,

Ruth Pam Myers and goddaughter Earldine Bartell. She also leaves to

cherish her memory her grandchildren, Antwan Myers, Rasheeda Hicks, Tecora Hicks, Brijadetta

(Harry Sr.) Graham, Shannon (Jermaine) Isaac, Brittany Muldrow, Tyquan Hicks, Dontrell Hicks,

Valencia Pack; and fourteen great-grandchildren, Shakiyla Myers, Bryce Hicks, Jackson Hicks,

Justin Frost, Kendall Graham, William Graham, Harry

Graham, Jr., Jayden Hicks, Gabriella Washington, Joseph Graham, Asher Isaac, Kalei Hicks,

Aiden Isaac, Kingston Hicks; and one great-great grand. Earline was adored and will be greatly

missed by a host of other relatives and dear friends.

A masterful homemaker, Earline was known city-wide for her supreme sewing skills and her

unforgettable cooking - especially her banana pudding, jelly cake, and chitterlings. She truly knew

her way around the kitchen. Earline had a heart for children and cared for every child who

crossed her path. "Grandma's House" was the headquarters for cousin meet-ups, family

gatherings, and lasting memories. Daily greetings of "Hey Mrs. Earline" echoed as friends and

family stopped by just to say hello.

She and her beloved Buster made sure that everyone who walked through their front door was

fed, loved, and cared for in ways not many know. Earline found joy sitting on her porch, tending to

her plants, and appreciating the simple blessings of life. She loved her family deeply and never

missed an opportunity to tell them how much they meant to her. Gratitude and appreciation were

a part of her everyday life.

Earline was a faithful and dedicated member of Salem United Methodist Church, serving the Lord

until He called her home. Her love, warmth, and generous spirit will be

remembered and cherished always.
