Earnest Lamar Garrett, affectionately known as "Big E," was born on November 2, 1951, in Bullard, Texas. He peacefully left this world on December 28, 2024. Earnest was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend whose impact on those around him will be deeply felt.
Earnest is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia, who cherished every moment spent together. He was a proud father to his sons, Earnest Jr., Patrick, and Sylvester, who carry forward his lasting legacy. Earnest shared a special bond with his siblings: Frankie, Anthony, Vernessia, and Ann, who stood by his side through life's journey.
The family invites friends and the community to join them in celebrating Earnest's life. A viewing will take place on January 3, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75224. Following the viewing, a funeral service will be held on January 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM at East Dallas Church of Christ, 1015 S. Carroll Ave.
