Earnest Larry Stocker, Sr.
A precious baby boy, Earnest Larry Stocker, was born on September 5, 1949 to the proud parents, Mr. Ferda and Mrs. Willie Rucks Stocker, in the Kedron community, Rison, Arkansas. He was the last of fifteen children born to this union. He received his early education at Lanwood School in Rison, Arkansas. He was a graduate of Rison High School and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
He accepted the Lord at an early age under the pastoral leadership of Elder I. V. Williams at Kedron Church of God in Christ. On December 18, 1974, he was united in matrimony to Miss Olivia Clemmons. To this union were born two sons and two daughters.
He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Mr. Ferda and Mrs. Willie Stocker; siblings, Mr. F. J. Stocker, W. J. Stocker, Virginia Stocker, Mrs. Francis Jean Barnett, Ms. Beulah Marie Harris, Mrs. Marilyn Cuba, Ms. Betty Reeves, Mrs. Cora Henry, Ms. Myrtice Grant, Elder Joe Stocker, Elder Harvey Stocker, and Mr. Otis T. Stocker.
His memory will be forever cherished by his two sons: Earnest (Tangela) Stocker, Jr., Detroit, MI, and Everett Stocker, Atlanta, GA; two daughters: Katheryn Stocker and Sabrina Stocker-Taylor, Sandy Springs, GA; one brother: Benny Raymond (Dorothy) Stocker, Flint, MI; one sister, Mayme Maxine Stocker, Pine Bluff, AR; six grandchildren: Saivi'on, Lillivia, Ka'Leila, Serenity, Evan, Allyson and one great-grandchild: Giovanni and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Brown Funeral Home Pine Bluff, AR.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Brown Funeral Home Pine Bluff, AR by Pastor Terry Reams. Interment in Cypress Memorial Gardens Pine Bluff, AR by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff, AR.
