Earnest Alfred Wilkerson, 72, of Converse, Louisiana entered into rest on Saturday, January 28, 2023. He was born June 19, 1950, in Lawton, Oklahoma to Glen and Louise Parrie Wilkerson. He was in the United States Navy and served in Vietnam in Saigon for two years, then came home to work construction. He loved his church family and was a deacon of Lakeside Baptist Church.
Earnest was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leon Wilkerson; and sister Connie Parrie. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Barbara; sons, Lance Wilkerson, and Duckie Vines; daughter, Elisha Strahan and husband, Alex; sisters, Bonnie Parrie and Jessie, Kathy Parrie and husband, Phillip, and Rebecca Procell; brother, Glen Wilkerson and wife, Dorothy; and grandchildren, Annabelle Bagley, Peyton Bagley, Maddi Strahan, and Hunter Strahan.
A Celebration of Life Service for Earnest will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Lakeside Baptist Church, 580 Rec Site 4 Rd, Converse, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Bro. Mike Armstrong.
