Funeral service for Earnestine R. Murphy, 81, of Anniston, will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 12:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of White Plains. Eric Snider will be officiating and burial will follow the service in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Jacksonville. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until time of the service.
Mrs. Murphy passed away on August 26, 2025. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Pete Murphy; parents, Frank and Louise Ramsey; her children, Samuel Franklin Murphy, James Roland Murphy, and Christine Murphy Glass; and her brothers, Charles Ramsey and Kenneth Ramsey.
Left to cherish the memory of Mrs. Murphy are her children, Dianne Murphy (Denny Allen) and Dennis "Eddie" Murphy (Michelle), and her fur baby, Sandy; grandchildren, Ashley Chandler Farmer (Michael), Amber Chandler, Rodney "Junior" Glass (Dana), Rusty Glass, Dennis J. Murphy (Amber), Casi Brown (Jason), Jerrica Austin (Giovanni), Joshua Murphy (Grace), Dexter Murphy, Candice Murphy Casalini (Michael), Amy Motes, Jason Motes, Lori Alligood (Charlie), and Jared Cunningham; 21 great grandchildren; siblings, Frankie Finch, Faye Nowland, Rita Nelson, Ricky Ramsey (Connie), Ragan Ramsey (Donna); sister in law, Shirley Ramsey; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Earnestine sold Avon products for 20 years. She loved spending time with her family and loved family get togethers. She loved the holidays and going shopping. She also enjoyed going to yard sales and thrifting to find treasures. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, storytelling and enduring love. She will forever be missed.
Pallbearers will be Rodney "Junior" Glass, Rusty Glass, Joshua Murphy, Jason Brown, Dennis J. Murphy, Dexter Murphy, Giovanni Austin, Brayden Glass. Honorary pallbearer will be Heisman Tyde Murphy.
