Dorothy Marie Dover, 62, of Oxford, Alabama went to her heavenly home on Saturday, November 8, 2025 surrounded by loving family and friends. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of 27 years, Steve Dover. Her children, Christopher "Pip" (Kristi) Roberts, T.J. (Aimee) Nicholson, Cassidy (Robert) Gilliam; her grandchildren, Brooke (Brady) McFarland, Trent Roberts, Lylia Roberts, Kenley Fike, Logan Turner, Trevor Nicholson, Blakelee Gilliam, Clark Gilliam. and Dalton Moses. Also her great-grandchildren; Beau McFarland, Motley Moses, Colton Parks, Aubryn Moses, and Amilia Moses; along with her brother Bill Bidient.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her long-missed parents Larry Bedient and Lylia Riley.
Dorothy (Peachy) was born in Painted Post, New York. She relocated here to Oxford, Alabama in her early adult life and remined a much loved part of this community the rest of her life. Dorothy was a prominent business owner with her mother which spanned over forty years. The two of them owned and operated "Lylia's Poodle Boutique" and it became very successful and she loved serving the "fur babies" of her customers, neighbors, and friends.
Away from the hustle of business ownership, one of Dorothy's favorite things in the world to do was spend time with her beloved family and countless friends. She loved spending time in her happy place, the beach, particularly Panama City.
Dorothy was the most kind and caring person you would ever want to meet. To know her was to love her, and she was loved by so many people - and also by their pets.
May she always rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to Peachy's family. Peachy was my oldest friend in life. We played together at the age of four. I remember her parents, her aunt, uncle and cousins and brother, Billy. Rest in peace, Peachy. Until we meet again. Much love, Ginger Freeman.
