Easter Belle (Coon) Cooper, age 94, of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away on Friday, August 4th, 2023 at her home. She was born April 1st, 1929, in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Lewis and Mirtle (Brofford) Coon.
Easter was a Christian most of her life and was a member of the Old Country Tabernacle Church in Oak Hill for over 50 years. She was active in the church and served as the Secretary/Treasurer for many years as well as teaching the ladies class for a long period of time.
She married the love of her life, John Cooper in 1946 and to this union three children were born, Sherry, Linda, and Cathy. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and all their relatives, and many friends loved coming to visit their happy home.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Cooper Jenkins; grandchildren: Troy (Chris) Wyant, Jason (Jenny) Wallace, and Jeff (Emily) Wallace; step-grandchildren, Ronda Jenkins and Christy (John) Hornsby; great-grandchildren: Abigail (Wyatt) Grooms, Elijah, Amelia, Leah, and Anna Wallace, and Oscar and Malena Wallace; step-great-grandchildren: Kasey Sullivan, Brittney Jones, Danielle Jenkins, Rob Cook, Beth Robinson, and Sean Hornsby; great-great-grandchildren, Kai Grooms and Alex Jenkins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Cooper; daughters, Linda Wallace and Cathy Wood; sons-in-law, Dennis Wallace and Robert Jenkins; sisters: Mildred Gillespie, Goldie Delaney, and Mabel Radabaugh.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 8th, 2023 from 5-7PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 9th, 2023, at 1PM at the Old Country Church Tabernacle with Pastor Bryon Carmon officiating. Burial will follow at Monroe Cemetery.
