Easton Ray took his last breath and passed away peacefully in the arms of his mom on Thursday April 6th, 2023 at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. He was born on March 21, 2023 and is the son to Victoria Slaughenhaupt. Easton was and will always be the light of his mother's life, and had so many loved ones wrapped around his little fingers. He was so strong and fought so hard during the short 16 days of his life. He had such a strong firm grip with his tiny little hands. The feeling of his mama's touch and sound of her voice always soothed and calmed him down. Easton had the perfect button nose and precious little lips and oh so much hair. He was welcomed into the beautiful gates of heaven with open arms by the best angels. You will always be mommy's little hero. I love you forever and always my sweet baby boy. Til I see you again my sweet Easton Ray. Easton is survived by his mother; maternal grandparents, Donald and Melinda Slaughenhaupt; uncles, Andrew and Joshua Slaughenhaupt; aunts, Evie King, April Phelps, and Heather Jones; also many cousins and loved ones. Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East. Memorials may be made to the UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, 4401 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15224. Please send condolences to elkinfh.com.
