It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Robert "Robbie" Carl Slaughenhaupt Jr. formerly of
Brookville, PA, who died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the age of 22. Robbie was born on June 10, 2003, in
Brookville, PA, to Robert Carl Slaughenhaupt Sr. and Ronda Mae (Hunter) Slaughenhaupt.
Robbie was a 2021 graduate of Brookville High School in
Brookville, PA. Following graduation, he was employed in the service industry and held kitchen roles at various locations, including Laurelbrooke, Giant Eagle, Dairy Queen, McDonald's and managed Family Dollar for a period of time.
Robbie was a member of Cub Scout Pack 245 in Punxsutawney, PA, and later an active member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 64 in
Brookville, PA.
Robbie's pastimes included reading, poetry, and was always interested in both history and Vikings. He enjoyed gaming on his Xbox, taking late-night walks, and always looked forward to the cold weather season, especially when it snowed. Robbie was generally comfortable in social situations but truly preferred his solitude. He was wise beyond his age, with a sharp wit and a ready response. His smile, though rare, lit every room and spoke volumes.
Always remember to show kindness, be open to conversation, and above all, to listen, to observe, and hear without making judgments.
Robbie was our beloved son, brother, companion, and friend. Throughout his short lifetime, from his very beginning to his last day on earth, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. More than anything else, Robbie will be remembered for his contagious smile, incredible warmth, and kind heart all taken too soon. We will forever cherish the memories we made, and the imprint left in our hearts.
Robbie is survived by his parents, his grandmothers Mary Slaughenhaupt and Leona "Sue" Geer, his loving fiance; Hannah Shanafelt of Clarion, PA; his ten siblings; Kaeldra Finnegan, Alyssa Walk, Eryck Finnegan, Kayla Slaughenhaupt, Damien Slaughenhaupt, Amber Hunter, Colby Vincent, Natalie Aaron, Lonnie Slaughenhaupt, Crystal Brumbaugh; as well as many other family and friends.
Robbie was preceded in death by his grandfathers; David Geer, Sid Eckman, and Jack Slaughenhaupt; and his Aunt Betty Geer.
A celebration of Robbie's life will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 5-7 pm at the Carrier Funeral Home, 2834 Maplevale, Rd.,
Brookville, PA 15825. A memorial service will take place immediately following visitation, also at the funeral home, beginning at 7:00 pm, and officiated by Pastor Shawn Miller. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carrier Funeral Home, 2834 Maplevale, Rd.,
