Ebenezer Job Heckart made his journey to heaven to be with Jesus on March 5, 2025. His name, "Ebenezer" comes from first Samuel chapter seven, verse twelve:
"Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it, Ebenezer, saying, "Hitherto hath the Lord helped us." Ebenezer's middle name, "Job" also comes from the Bible in Job chapter one, verse twenty-one: "And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord."
It's with great sadness, but with hope that this news comes to the family, knowing that he is at peace with Jesus, and that he was able to beat all of his brothers to Heaven.
Ebenezer is survived by his parents: David and Ana Heckart; his Grandparents: Elida Heckart of Nebraska, Richard Coleman and Ila Zesch of Iowa; His brothers: Nathanael, Gideon, Israel, Azariah, and Boaz.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Alan Heckart.
Ebenezer will be laid to rest in Timber Creek Cemetery. Mitchell Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Ebenezer and his family. For questions or condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com or call 641-844-1234.
