Ecnera Brooks Obituary

Ecnera was affectionately known as Pops, Dad, Daddy, and Brooks by his children, grandchildren, church family and friends. He retired from Amoco Transmissions, and continued to work as a part-time caregiver, and driver for many senior citizens to appointments and to church. He was a very active, faithful member of Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church, Stamford, CT, Pastor, Dr. Joseph G. Ford, where he served as an usher for many years. He loved his church, church members, and was always willing to
help wherever needed.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his lovely and devoted former wife and best friend Patricia (Paul) Canada-Carmona of Stamford, Connecticut; his nine children: Dr. Mary "Lib"(Richard) Hall of Charlotte, NC; Ralph (Ronda Kees) Brooks of Charlotte, NC; Phyllis (Glenn) Warren of Concord, NC; Jana Brooks of Charlotte, NC; Daneen (Leonard) Littlejohn of Gastonia, NC; Fred Brooks of Dallas, NC; Sheila (David) Wimbish of Springfield, Massachusetts; Jarrod (Tara) Canada of Hartford, CT; Rodney Canada of Stamford, CT; twenty-three grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Ecnera is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday August 23, 2024 from 10:00AM - 11:00AM followed by a service of celebration at 11:00AM at Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 29 Grove St., Stamford, CT.
Interment will be private.
