Ed Bailey, Jr., age 87, a resident of Goshen Springs Community passed away Peacefully on Friday, December 5, 2025 at home surrounded by his family. from an extended illness, Mr. Bailey served his heavenly Father, his family ,his country and his community throughout his lifetime. He loved and was loved by all that enjoyed the privilege of knowing him. He truly made the world a better place! Always smiling always with a helping hand. For the past 61 years he was a resident of the Pisgah MS community in Rankin county. Services will be at Ott and Lee funeral home in Morton MS.
Ed is preceded in death by is parents, Ed Bailey Sr. and Ann Campbell , and his wife, Margaret Alice Herrington Bailey.
Ed is survived two children, William "Bill' Bailey,( Jan); and Paula Morris; four siblings, Cathy, Shirley, Wanda, and Jerry; three grandchildren, Justin, Brandi Ford Hargon, Kristen Wilbanks (Jay Lawrence) and Alexandra Kennedy, Gabe Vencio; three great-grandchildren, Ashton Hargon, Jaysia Hargon and McKenzie Wilbanks. He is also survived by a numerous number of stepchildren and grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS, the Funeral Service will follow at 1:00pm in our chapel. Interment will be at Canton City Cemetery.
