COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Ed Copeland passed on after a long battle with illness on Sunday, the night of August 10th, 2025, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
In life, he was a pillar of the community, serving many clients as their financial advisor, always taking the utmost care in managing not only their funds and portfolios, but in so doing, their goals, hopes, and dreams. He was also a founding father of the White’s Point neighborhood, bringing into the world a safe, beautiful, and serene place for his children to grow up, and for many others to raise their families.
He left this world surrounded by his wife, his sons, his sister, D.J., and his caregiver who had become like part of the family. He will be missed, and while he is resting now, what he did in life will continue to echo in the world for years, if not decades, to come.
He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Ward Copeland, his mother Oleta Stanton, and his dear Uncle Ward Robbins.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki, his sons, Ethan and Braden, and his sisters, Donna Jane and Sonata, and they all look forward to seeing each other again.
The family will receive friends at Hooper, Huddleston, and Horner, at the Jefferson Avenue, Cookeville Chapel, from 3:00-6:00 P.M. on Friday, August 15th, 2025, followed immediately by funeral services at 6:00 P.M. Pastor Mark Gaw will officiate.
Graveside services and interment will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 16th, 2025, at Cookeville City Cemetery. Flowers are welcome, or donations in his name to St. Jude’s’s Children’s Hospital or Shriners Children’s Hospital are greatly appreciated.
