Glenda Lee "Peek" Smith

Glenda Lee (Peek) Smith, 69, of Cookeville, Tennessee, passed from this life on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Glenda was born on Thursday, June 7, 1956, in Cookeville, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of the late Ervin Peek, Jr., and the late Grace Magdalene (Smith) Peek.

Glenda was a loving daughter, sister, devoted wife, mother, Mama Glenda, aunt, and friend. She was an avid dog trainer, and years ago she and Larry owned and operated Hidden Valley K-9 Hobby Training Center. She enjoyed gardening, going to the tanning bed, and anything where she could be "girly", especially the military balls with her husband. Her pride and joy was her Beloved Boy, Earlie, and they did everything together, from going to Walmart to eating out. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and attended First United Pentecostal Church of Cookeville. Glenda was loved by those who knew her, and she will be greatly missed.

Glenda is survived by her husband of 42 years, Larry Curtis Smith; Beloved Boy, Darius "Earlie" Wade; stepson, Joshua Curtis Smith; 4 Siblings, Ralph Peek, Gail Jared, Grace Lee, and Janie Langford; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Joe Peek.

Funeral Service for Glenda Lee (Peek) Smith will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Algood Heritage Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pmn on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
