Mr. Eddie Hue Brown affectionately known as "Hue" entered this world on May 7, 1949. Born to the parentage of John Judson Brown and Lucille Charlie Thompson-Brown.
At an early age he joined Lofton AME Church of Jefferson County, GA where he served on the Usher Board until his health failed. He also was a member of the Trustee Board.
As a child and young man, he attended schools in Jefferson County GA. He graduated from the Jefferson County High School in 1968. Immediately after graduating, he was drafted into the United States Army. Hue served four years in Vietnam and later served twelve years in the United States Army Reserve with the 319th Transportation Unit.
In 1972, Hue married his high school sweetheart, Marie Hannah. This union was blessed with a son.
Hue worked at J M Huber Corporation of Wrens, GA and W.H. Reeves Company of Evans, GA for several years. After retiring, he spent his time as an avid outdoorsman, specializing in lawncare. He enjoyed traveling with family members and friends, especially his classmates (of the '68 Class) where he was the Chaplin for the Class. Hue was a coach for a girls' softball team in earlier years, and a little league coach for his grandson's team. He really enjoyed all types of sport activities. Later in retirement, Hue became a proud "Papa." He spent most of his time training his grandsons. Hue did everything with them and for the team, especially when it came to sports and school trips until his health failed. He taught his grandson "A.J." how to drive 360 - zero turn mower at the age of four years old. Fittingly so, A.J. mows lawns presently as a summer job.
Our dearly beloved Eddie Hue Brown will be remembered mostly as the one the family could count on to go pick up something or somebody when it would come to taking someone somewhere or be it just running an errand especially for the elderly.
He leaves to remember the best of times and to cherish his memory: a loving wife, R. Marie Brown; a son, Andreas S. (Drika) Brown; two grandsons, A.J. Brown and Zion Brown; three siblings, Martha (Richard) Goodson, Phil Brown and Beverly Wilson; three sisters-in-law, Stella Brown, Ann Smith and Lillie Hannah; three brothers-in-law, Dellie, Jr. (Lisa) Hannah, Charlie (Michelle) Gross and Charles (Melissa) Moye; a mother-in-law, Mary L. Hannah; a godparent to five blessed lives; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
