Eddie Perez Romero

March 13, 1938 – August 6, 2025

Eddie Perez Romero, 87, of La Parita, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025,surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on March 13, 1938 to Cosme and Petra Romero.

Eddie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, God-father, uncle and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Jesse, Cosme, Pete, Henry, Rosa, Guadalupe, and Adela.

He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Cristina Romero; children Janie "Tita" Piatt, Rose Mary Romero, Eddie Romero Jr. (Teresa), Susan Hinojosa (Camilo), Hector Romero (Bernice), Dora Garcia (Alex), and Cosme Romero (Haley); 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Eddie worked for 26 years at Fort Sam Houston, serving in the Chow Hall, NCO Club, and AAFES Main Exchange. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, sense of humor, love of oldies music and car racing, and his pride in always looking sharp.
