Warner Robins, Georgia, Eddie Gilbert, 57, went home to be with his personal Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 18, 2022. A memorial service honoring the life of Eddie will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11:00AM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
Eddie was born on November 1, 1964 in Hawkinsville, Georgia to the late Corine Fleming and Eugene Gilbert, Sr. Eddie was a very selfless man who enjoyed the simplicities of life. For example, Eddie thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the bank of some water with a fishing pole casted. Whether he caught any fish or not Eddie was always accompanied with his world famous smile. When Eddie was not fishing he could be found watching some basketball or shooting some hoops with those he loved.
Eddie was a very hard working man who worked in the construction field for over twenty years. During his tenure he had built a numerous of structures and taught many the importance of hard work and determination. While Eddie had loved and taught many nothing will compare to the love he had for his savior, Jesus. Eddie was a devoted Christian who sought to serve the lord with all of his might.
In addition to his parents there awaiting for him at the gates of heaven is his beloved brothers, Eugene Gilbert, Jr, and Terry Gilbert.
Left to cherish the memory of Eddie is his loving children: Maquetta Gilbert, Lanikia Gilbert, Justin Allen Aaliyah Allen, Denesia Robinson, Tyc'lyn Gilbert, Terawen McCray, Antwan McCray; 9 grandchildren; God mother, Earnestine Felton; siblings: Debra Jackson (Eddie), Mary Lloyd (Jeffrey), Regina Gilbert. Eddie is also survived by a host of extended family members and countless friends.
