He was born on April 23, 1939, in Kangting Sikang, Tibet, to the late Dr. Harold Edward Sr. and Jessie Morrison James. At a young age, Eddie found his first true love, flying. He was a passionate pilot, retiring as Captain after 37 years of service with United Airlines. A talented woodworker with hands that could accomplish any task presented to him with precision and a level of work ethic unmatched. In his younger years, he was famous for riding his unicycle and enjoyed camping and hiking.
In addition to his parents, Dr. Harold E. James Sr. and Jessie M. James, he was preceded in death by one son, Brian Thomas James; one granddaughter, Jeanne Madeline James; one brother, Harold Edward James.
Left to cherish the many memories include his beloved wife of 24 years, Sharon Tauber James; four children, Mark Edward (Karla) James, Gregory Scott (Jennifer) James, Nathan Edward (Charolet) James, and Daniel Emory James; one step-son, Daniel Jeremy (Wanna) Tauber; two adopted sons, Matthew Allen Carrizosa and Geoffrey Allen Carrizosa; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one niece, Evangeline James.
Funeral services will be announced as soon as available.

Arrangements are entrusted to Higgins Funeral Home of Benton.
