Eddie Jurnak, 93, of Poultney, VT, passed away peacefully on the evening of August 16, 2025.

He was born on June 16, 1932, in Granville, NY, to the late Andrew and Anna Jurnak. One of fourteen children, he was predeceased by his siblings Joe, Anna, George, Andy, Steve, Mary, Mike, Peter, Paul, Rosie, Frank, John, and Susie.

He was also predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Jurnak (Frazier).

He is survived by his children, Steven Jurnak of Essex, and Cindy McMahon ofPoultney; his grandchildren, Steven (Crystal) Jurnak Jr. of TN, Christopher Jurnak of FL, Megan (Ryan) Mullen of Wells, and Alyssa McMahon of Poultney; and his great-grandchildren, Karsyn Mullen of Wells and Amelia Jurnak of TN.

He will be remembered for his quick wit and good humor, always ready with a joke or a story to share. He loved long conversations about his favorite sports teams and could often be found reminiscing about "the old days," keeping family history and neighborhood memories alive through his storytelling.

Throughout his life, he was no stranger to hard work. He was employed at the Journal Press and at Telescope Casual Furniture, worked alongside his brothers in the slate quarries, and even repaired televisions on the side-a skill that kept him well-known and well-respected in the community. Whether through his work or his words, he had a way of connecting with others and leaving them with a smile.

Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday August 23, 2025 at the St. Raphael Catholic Church in Poultney. Burial will follow in the St. Raphael's Cemetery.

Friends may call on Friday August 22, 2025 from 4-6 Pm at the Durfee Funeral Home, 119 North Main St, Fair Haven, VT
