Eddie Gene Medlock

Eddie Gene Medlock, 81, of Pine Bluff, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at home surrounded by family.
He was born October 20, 1943, in Pine Bluff, son of Ralph Jesse Medlock and Mary Elizabeth Branch Medlock.
Eddie was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School in 1961. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and his master's from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, both in chemistry.
He worked for the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality as a chemist two different times in his career. In between his time with the State of Arkansas he worked for the Cotton Belt Railroad as a chemist.
Eddie was a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church and was a talented woodworker, even carving an Eagle.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Jean Goff Medlock; two daughters, Stacy Cheatwood (Rob) of Pine Bluff and Karen Puckett (Jeff) of Sheridan; son, Bryan Medlock (Leslie) of Sulphur Springs; brother, Jesse Medlock (June) of Sheridan; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Graceland Cemetery with Brother Steve Monk officiating by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors.
