Eddie Phipps Obituary
Eddie D. Phipps, age 73 of Fairborn passed away May 17, 2023 at the Hospice of Dayton. He was born March 1, 1950 in Monterey, TN, the son of the late James and Laura (Stringer) Phipps. Eddie was a veteran of the United State Marine Corps and followed with employment at Miami Valley Publishing. He was a certified scuba diver; enjoyed concerts and fishing. His pride and joy were ones who called him Papaw. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Deborah; brothers, Timothy and Terry. Eddie is survived by his daughter, Amanda Phipps, three grandchildren, Laura, Erik and Caitlin; as well as extended family. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Monday May 22, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at the Byron Cemetery, 3256 Trebein Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Eric Meade officiating.
