Eddie Dean Roark (Clyde), passed away at Atrium Health Pineville on March 8th, 2025. He went to be with the Lord at the age of 65. He was born March 26, 1959. He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Arlie Mains; mother-in-law, Rosa Mains; grandson, Isaiah Blevins; and niece, Danielle Sutherland.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Roark of 46 years; daughters, Pamela Blevins and Christie Garcia; grandchildren, Savannah Blevins, Hayden Phillips, Emma and Tyler Earp; great-grandson, Taegan Earp. He is also survived by his father, Spencer Roark; mother, Ferry Roark; brothers, Dan Roark and Steve Roark (wife Lauren), and several nieces and nephews.

Eddie started his work at the glove plant in Mountain City, TN, then at Miller Industry, then to work with Vannoy Construction from where he retired. Eddie loved spending time with family and friends. In his younger years, he loved playing basketball. Eddie and his wife started date night back up with their life-long friends and “older brother”, Sonny Osborne and wife Darlene. While in retirement, Eddie loved spending his days on the family farm, feeding the cows, and working the land.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Chad Corum officiating. The graveside service and burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025 at the Potter-Mains Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve Roark, Eli Roark, Dalton Roark, Sonny Osborne, Tyler Earp, and Kyle Holman. Honorary pallbearers are Dan Roark, Gary Hamm, and Wesley Hicks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with costs.

At other times friends may visit at the home, 476 N. Flatwoods Road, Creston, NC.
