Mossie was a proud graduate with an Associate's Degree from Hazard Community College, where she distinguished herself by earning a place on the Dean's List. Her dedication to her education reflected her tireless pursuit of knowledge and personal growth.
Her personality was characterized by her friendly and kind nature. She had an innate ability to make others feel welcome and valued, a trait that endeared her to many throughout her life. Mossie's interests included flower gardening, playing cards, and pitching horseshoes; hobbies that brought her joy and created lasting memories with family and friends.
Above all else, Mossie considered her most significant achievements to be those of a wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Herman Roark, who was her steadfast companion through life's journey. Their bond was a testament to love and partnership. Mossie also leaves behind her children, Josh Roark and Jasmine Roark Chappell, who were both fortunate to have such a nurturing mother. Her grandchildren: Taylor Roark, Isaiah Roark, Dalton Whitehead, Ellie Chappell, and great-grandson, Colt Xander Roark were a source of immense pride and joy for her, and she relished every moment spent with them.
Her siblings, Johnny Wayne Hoskins, Mary Sue Couch, and Mildred Ann Collett, remain as part of her enduring family. She was predeceased by her parents, Leonard Asher and Hannah Hoskins, and her sister, Emmie Asher, whose memories she carried with her.
Mossie will be remembered not only for her compassionate spirit and her ability to bring people together but also for the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy will continue to shine in the hearts of those she touched, and her spirit will forever be a guiding light for her loved ones.
