Eddie Dean Tapp, 78, of 138 Pebble Creek Lane in Inman, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Eddie was born in Spartanburg on May 31, 1947, a son of the late Arrie Estella Center Tapp and John Layton Tapp. He was the husband of Quincella Freeman Tapp of the home.
Eddie served in the military during the Vietnam War, Operation Desert Shield, and Desert Storm and retired from the United States Marine Corps.
He was a member of Greater St. James Temple and American Legion Post #45.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by six sons, Dwayne Tapp, Robert Trenton Tapp, Michael Tapp, Ronnie Tapp, Jeremiah Tapp, and Inky Woods; a daughter, Sheila Cooper, a sister, Marie Williams, seven grandchildren, Tyler, Christopher, Roxanne, Jennifer, Nicole, Amber, and Bobby; and several great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 2nd at Seawright Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM in the Seawright Funeral Chapel. Following the funeral service, the family will host friends and family at their home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Quincella Tapp Inman.
