Eddy Augustin Ajete Delgado, 63, of Genoa, NE passed away on September 15th, 2024, at Hoffmeister Homes. Eddy is preceded in death by his parents, Juana Rosa Delgado Tellez and Augustin Ajete Perez and his nephew, Javier Quiñonez. He is survived by his sisters, Olga Maria Ajete Delgado, Carmen Rosa Ajete Delgado, Idania Ajete Delgado, and Julia Ajete Ferrin, along with nieces and nephews, Andy Maza Ajete, Yenised Ajete, Jennifer Ajete Ali, Yesined Ajete, Yadira Rosa Hernandez Ajete, Yuri Jesus Maza Ajete, Ariel Forcade, and great nieces and nephews, Devahni Maza Martinez, Jiselle Aneesia Ajete Ali, and Donni, Dimitri, and Roman Ciampa, among many other friends and family. Eddy was born in Havana, Cuba on December 30th, 1960, to Juana and Augustin. This is where Eddy would spend his childhood years and adulthood before making his way to Hastings, NE with family. Eddy lived at the Regional Center in Hastings, NE until its closure, he was then transferred to Norfolk, NE, later to Haven Homes in Genoa, NE before finally settling into Hoffmeister Homes in Genoa, NE until his untimely passing. While Eddy often was not nearby his family, he counted on the visits he would get from them, and always had a big smile and endless stories to greet them with. Eddy always had a passion for drawing and painting. A few of Eddys’ favorite subjects to paint were the Mona Lisa, portraits of artists Selena Quintanilla and Michael Jackson, as well as The Last Supper, among others. Eddy had an artistic mind and would often gift those around him with paintings. Eddy also loved music, as his sisters recall one of his favorite artists being Italian singer, Eros Ramazzotti. While Eddy had many interests and passions, no hobby or interest was greater than his love for family. Eddy will always be remembered for his smile, positivity, love, charisma, and his artistic soul. Eddy, fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews as “Tio Eddy” and by his sisters as “mi hermano” will be dearly missed and kept alive every day in the memories that will last a lifetime.
