She is survived by her children: Elva Cisneros, Jorge Aguilar, Martha Zarate, Thomas Aguilar, and Lilia Ramirez; 14 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dagoberto; two brothers and one sister.
Edelmira was a mother and homemaker that loved cooking. She was a member of St. Benedict's Abbey in Bartonville, IL.
Visitation will be Monday, August 11, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at The Wilton Mortuary, 2101 N. Knoxville Ave. Peoria, IL 61603. A funeral service will be held Monday, August 11, 2025, 11:00 AM at St. Benedict's Abbey, 7561 W. Lancaster Rd., Bartonville, IL 61607, with the Right Reverend J. Alberto Morales, OSB officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, 421 N. Sterling Ave., West Peoria, IL 61604.
Arrangements were entrusted to Cumerford-Clary Funeral Home.
