Edgar Beerbower Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Iles Grandview Park Chapel on Sep. 29, 2025.
Edgar Allen Beerbower "Eddie" passed away on September 25, 2025. Eddie's family will greet guests from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Iles Grandview Park Funeral Chapel in Des Moines.

Eddie was born on March 4, 1981, in Des Moines, Iowa. He grew up in Des Moines and attended East High School. Eddie owned and ran Beerbower Flooring. Whether it was laying down flooring or building something from scratch, he was good with his hands and proud of what he built. He had the kind of strong, work-worn hands that could do just about anything.

Eddie's kids came before anything else. He coached them in sports, pushed them to get a good education, and made sure they grew up right. Quitting wasn't in his vocabulary, and he made sure his kids knew it. He was always cracking jokes and keeping things light, but they never had to wonder how much he loved them.

Eddie was the kind of guy who'd give you the shirt off his back without thinking twice. He worked hard, joked hard, and loved even harder. He'll be missed by so many people, especially those lucky enough to call him family or friend.

Eddie is survived by his mother, Marylin (Dan) Branchcomb; children: Hailey, Heidi, and Hayden Beerbower; siblings: Kim Bunning, Laurie Reha, Mike Beerbower, Scottie Beerbower, and Jenny Beerbower; his fiancé, Anna Marlow; step children: Cathy Marlow, Kylie Corwin, Natalie (Marshall Bishop) Cartmill, and Jurnee Cartmill; a grandchild, Evelyn Worthington; three step brothers, two step sisters, and many other extended family and friends.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Robert Beerbower; grandparents, Albert and Jenny Branchcomb and Mary Beerbower.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Eddie's family.
