Edgar "Spike" Lefebvre, 92, of Plymouth, passed away on August 5, 2025 surrounded by family. He was predeceased by his wife Carol (Sweeney) Lefebvre. Spike is survived by his sister Judy Smith of Quincy; his long time partner Miriam "Mimi" Williams of Plymouth; children Steve and Jackie (Kornblum) Lefebvre of Groton, CT; Tim Lefebvre and partner Bessie Wink of Los Angeles, CA; Suzanne Lefebvre and Chip Barth of New Milford, CT; Matt and Jill (Spagna) Lefebvre of Worcester, MA; grandchildren Matthew Lefebvre Jr., Miles Lefebvre, and Maggie Barth; and Miriam's children Patti, Carolyn, Greg and their families, who warmly welcomed Spike into their family. Spike also leaves behind many more family, friends, and loved ones.

Born to Gaston "Gus" and Cecile (Janelle) Lefebvre, Spike grew up with younger sister Judy in the French Canadian section of Cambridge, MA. He attended Cambridge High and Latin School before attending UMass Amherst majoring in Music Education. Spike enlisted in the Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany as a photographer from 1953 to 1955. Upon being Honorably Discharged, he played as a professional drummer and piano player in and around Boston.

After marrying, he and Carol settled in the Burncoat neighborhood of Worcester. Spike served as the Assistant General Manager of the Zayre store in Webster Square. He was promoted to General Manager of the Zayre store in Attleboro, and they relocated to Foxborough, where Spike and Carol raised their family. While the kids were young, Spike finished his Music Education degree at UMass Boston and became a Chorus and Band Director and General Music Teacher at Peter Thacher and Wamsutta Middle Schools for the Attleboro Public Schools. He spent his teaching career in Attleboro until his retirement. He was a fine and respected jazz pianist and played extensively in Greater Boston and on Cape Cod. He also served his community on Sunday mornings as an organist for St. Mary's Church in Foxborough and the Foxborough State Hospital Chapel. After retiring to Hull and then Plymouth, he continued performing into his 80's in Southeastern Mass and Cape Cod. He was a woodworker and an avid golfer, and, with Miriam, regularly shared a beer or meal with friends at the Moose, a local Plymouth favorite.

In lieu of services, there will be a celebration of life on Sunday, August 24, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Overlook Clubhouse 149 Great Island, Plymouth, MA. Donations in his name can be made to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth.
