Edgar "Pete" Paul Stamper, 90, of Mechanicsburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025. Born on February 10, 1935, in Coon Holler, Adams County, Ohio a son of Minnie (Fletcher) and Wiley Stamper.
A devoted husband, Pete shared more than 50 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Elizabeth, whom he married on November 22, 1958. Together, they built a loving home filled with laughter, warmth, and countless memories. Elizabeth preceded him in death, and we find comfort knowing they are now reunited. He is survived by his children, Vicki (Fred) Shaffer and Paul Stamper; five grandchildren, Jessica Oakley, Megan Orzechowski, Allen Driscoll, Lance Stamper, and Wade Stamper; and six great-grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A devoted member of the RLDS Church for more than 50 years; Pete faithfully served as a preacher and shared his faith and kindness with all who knew him. Outside of his ministry, he found joy in the outdoors as a hunter and fisherman, and he was a talented woodworker and gardener. Perhaps most of all, Pete loved to bake—always eager to share his homemade treats with friends and neighbors.
Pete will be remembered for his generosity, his unwavering faith, and the warmth he brought into the lives of everyone around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who were blessed to know him.
