Edgar Stewart Obituary
Edgar Allen Stewart first saw the light of day on Sunday, June 15, 1952, in Denton, Kentucky to the late James Albert Stewart and Lendy Ellen Romans Stewart.
Edgar leaves behind his four children, Jeremy (Gara) Stewart of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, Jonathan (Lynn) Stewart of Ashland Kentucky, Nietta (Earl) Pelfrey and Kristy Staggs both of Grayson Kentucky.
Edgar leaves behind 12 Grandchildren, Daniel Stewart, Corey Carver, Deloris Stewart-Wible, Eric Stewart, John Micheal Moore, J. T. Staggs, Roni Ingles, Ashley Stewart Marcum, Leigh Stewart, Levi Berry, Whitney Maddix and Dylan Stewart.
Edgar also leaves behind his 15 precious Great Grand Children, Jaeylen Stewart- Wible, Jayden Stewart- Wible, Jamerson Stewart- Wible, Jazmin Stewart- Wible, Kyla Stewart, Shonda Powell, Amiah Carver, Eliza Staggs, Naomi Staggs, Cooper Ingles, Logan Marcum, Layla Maddix, Nora Maddix, Briar Maddix, and Parker Maddix that he never stopped talking about. He was so proud of each of them and always had a cookie, cake or treat for them when he seen them.
Edgar leaves behind sisters Lillie Haney and Rosa Sue Cromwell of Grayson, Kentucky and brothers Glen Roy and Fred of Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Edgar was preceded in death by his granddaughters Annika Carver and Chantelle Hamilton whom he mourned greatly, along with great granddaughter Jan Stewart-Wible and great grandson Jackson Stewart-Wible. Edgar's sisters Grace Parsons, Sylvia Stewart and Alice Stone proceeded him in death as well.
Edgar's visitation will be held at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson KY on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 5-8 PM. His wishes were for a simple funeral with no fuss. He will not have a burial after the visitation per his request for cremation. The family will have a small private service at a later date.
