Edgars J. Strazdins

Edgars J. Strazdins, 72, of Rocky Hill, passed away Thursday (April 4, 2024) at the CT State Veterans Hospital in Rocky Hill. Born in New Britain, son of the late Arkadijs J. Strazdins and Pauline (Skakun) Strazdins, he moved to Rocky Hill in 2006. Edgars was a graduate of Britain High School, Class of 1970 and served with the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in New Britain.
Besides his parents, Edgars was predeceased by his brother, Andris "Andy" Strazdins in 2015. He is survived by his friend and pastor, Rev. Willard Baumgartner of Cromwell; and a friend, Walter Carlson of Kensington.
Funeral services are Tuesday (April 9, 2024) 11 AM at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. Burial with military honors will be in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain.
