Edith Padilla Archunde was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She passed away peacefully at home on March 11, 2023 at the age of 98, with her daughters Charlotte and Theresa and son Henry (Tacho) by her side.
Edith lived a long healthy life. She was known for her kindness and sweetness. She loved her family and would do anything for them. She was also known for telling everyone she loved them. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughters; Charlotte Vigil and Theresa Garcia of San Rafael, NM, Helen Martinez and her husband Robert of Grants, NM, sons; Henry Archunde of Mesa, AZ, Denny Archunde and his wife Barbara of Grants, NM, Benny Archunde and with Esperanza of Globe, AZ; 20 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Preciliano Archunde; parents Premia Ortiz Padilla and Romolo Padilla; her sons Arthur Archunde Sr, and Orlando Archunde Sr; granddsons Orlando Archunde Jr, and Denny Archunde Jr; her brothers Manuel Padilla and Elfego Padilla; and sister Audelia Martinez.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Garcia, Elfie Vigil III, Daniel Archunde, Jayden Renteria, Jaime Grijalva, Todd Nicholson and Christopher Baca. Honorary pallbearers will be all great grandchildren. Eulogy by granddaughters Michelle Renteria and Toinette Garcia.
