Edith Kane, 97, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025. Edith was born in Saltsburg, Pennsylvania, on October 17, 1928.
Edith retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield. She enjoyed baking her Italian cookies at Christmas time, and sharing a smile with everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Bada; her loving husband, George; and her sisters, Elsie Polito and Josephine Archer.
She is survived by her son, Tom (Karen) Kane; grandson, Matthew (Amanda Andrews) Kane; granddaughter, Melissa (Casey) White; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Landon, Leo, Scottie, and John; niece, Kathy Austin; nephew, Ron Polito.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 4 pm to 6 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, where funeral services will be held at 6 pm. Interment on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 10 am in Woodlawn Cemetery, 800 Grant Blvd, Syracuse, NY 13203.
