Edith Kemper 
March 1, 1943 – January 26, 2026

Edith Johnson Kemper, 82, of Bedford, Indiana, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026. 

Edith was born on March 1, 1943. She was the daughter of George and Eliza (Noble) Johnson. 

Edith attended Tunnelton High School and earned an undergraduate degree from Indiana State University. Edith was a teacher among various other titles/professions in her life. Edith was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Leesville.

Surviving Edith are her children, Brent (Wendy) and Lois (Bob), and 3 grandchildren, Trinity, Kadin, and Korey, siblings Willard Johnson (Connie), Richard Johnson (late wife Marilyn), Frank Johnson (Mary), Marie Baker (John), and Betty Dion (Tom), and many nieces and nephews. 

Edith is preceded in death by her parents, George and Eliza Johnson, brothers Graden Johnson and wife Wanda, Raymond Johnson and wife Martha, and George Johnson Jr. and wife Renee, and sister Mary Allman and husband Wayne.

Graveside service will be at 10:30 A.M. on Sunday, March 1st, 2026, for family and friends at the Leesville Cemetery.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of Derek and Abby George of the Limestone Chapel of George Funeral Care at 527 15th Street in Bedford.
