Edith "Ruth" Kershaw (nee Chisholm), age 92, of Franklinville, NJ, passed away on August 22, 2024.
Ruth was born in Philadelphia and later moved to the Grove at Wilson Lake, where she met and married her husband Earl. Ruth worked alongside her husband at Earl Kershaw Masonry as the office manager. She later worked at Kmart on both the service desk and returns/recovery for the company before retiring. Ruth was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking and baking. She was a member of the Eastern Star and served on the Franklin Twp. First Aid Squad as an EMT, where she also was the treasurer and coordinated billing.
Beloved wife of 40 years to the late Earl Kershaw. Devoted mother of Susan Fuller, Earl Kershaw, Jr., Gail Riccuiti (Michael), Joyce Smith (Alan), and the late Elise Smith (the late Thomas). Loving grandmother of many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Dear sister of Carolyn Hill (James). Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Stanley and Edith Chisholm, and her sister Mildred Gold (Irving).
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday, August 28th from 10:00-11:30 AM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown. Burial will follow in the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
