Edith Krier

Edith Krier, born December 28, 1926, passed quietly at home, surrounded by her loved ones on January 7, 2026. Edith, aka Edie, G-ma and G-G-ma, was a conduit of love, laughter, joy, and great food. Never one to say, "No", Edith lived life to the fullest, enjoying endless gatherings with family and friends, travel, casino trips, old movies and she had a life-long love of dance; she taught ballroom dancing in her younger years and performed in tap dance recitals until she was 82 years old.
Born in Belleville, NJ, a graduate of Belleville High School, married to Christian Krier for 35 years, Edith and her twin brother Raymond were the youngest children of Leonard and Nellie Sasso. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her siblings - (Fay Gatto, Genevieve Longo, Morris (Moe) Sasso, Bill Sasso, Viola Greco, Armond (Dutch) Sasso and Raymond Sasso.) Edith's presence in any environment made it better. A loving mother and grandmother, she will be missed more than words can express.
Edith is survived by her daughters Barbara Krier and Tracey Paradis, son-in-law Jim Paradis, grandchildren Nicole Paradis, Joel Paradis and his wife Carolyn, and Samantha Paradis, and great-grandchildren James David and Cooper Amelia Paradis.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass Service that will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Avenue, Nutley, NJ 07110. Grave side service and interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ 07031.
