Edith Lins Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home - Spring Green on Mar. 26, 2026.
The heavens gained an angel on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 as Edith Mae Lins (Blucher) drifted off to sleep for the final time. Born to Anna (Brown) and Fred Blucher on August 18, 1921 at a mere 3 pounds, she grew to be a powerhouse of a lady.

Marrying the love of her life, Melvin J. Lins, on August 18, 1943, they celebrated with a dance at Rainbow Gardens. Settling on the family farm, just outside of Spring Green, on Rainbow Road, they raised eleven children. Besides running such a lively household, as well as pitching in with all aspects of farming, Mom found time to teach catechism, serve as president of the ladies church circle, lead The Spring Green Clovers 4-H Club and drive special needs children to school. At the age of 57, she bravely began a new chapter in her life, by taking on the challenge of running the A&W drive-in for seventeen years - touching the lives of many more children.

Later in life, you could find her volunteering at Greenway Manor and St. John's school, as she considered it her honor to give back to her community. Her giving spirit extended to many charities including St. Jude's, Covenant House, St. Labre Indian School and Operation Smile.

Edith passed her love of life, wanderlust for travel, positive attitude, can-do spirit, strong work ethic and dedication to family on to her children: Kenny, Judy O'Connell (Dan), Jean Grann (Jim), Lynette, Becky Siedenburg (Jim), Lori, Bob, Donata (Rich), Tom (Marian), Luann Da Silva (Scott) and Lanita Schulz (Brian).

She now joins many loved and missed family and friends who went on before her: Husband Melvin, infant son Dicky, son Kenny, sisters Margaret and Beverly, sisters-in-law Marie Lins and Helen Rundhaug, Aunts Clarabelle and Myrtle, sons-in-law Dan O'Connell, Jim Grann, Jim Siedenburg, and Rich Goree and many others throughout the years.

We'd like to especially thank the staff and volunteers of Greenway Manor and Agrace Hospice, for the added love and care given to our mother during her final days.

Although gone, Mom will never truly leave us, as she lives on in all those she has touched: Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and yes, even great-great grandchildren.

Hold those you love close, keep them in your heart and share stories of them to all, as by speaking their name they continue to live on forever. We love you Mom, be with Dad, be at peace and know your spirit will continue on in us all.

Love ~ Your Children
