Edith Lloyd Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by James M. Campbell Funeral Home, Inc. - Philadelphia on Jul. 6, 2024.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Edith June Lloyd, fondly known as June, who left us on July 5, 2024, at the age of 88. Born on January 26, 1936, in Philadelphia, PA, June's life was one of unwavering love, dedication, and grace.
Raised in the bustling city of Philadelphia, June married F. Donald Warner in 1956, and together they built a beautiful family in Huntingdon Valley. June found love again and married James M. Lloyd in 1981, relocating to Wilmington, DE. In 2010, she returned to Pennsylvania, settling at Ann's Choice in Warminster, where she lovingly cared for Jim until his passing in 2020.
June's professional journey saw her excel as an administrative assistant, first at Betz Labs and later at DuPont. Beyond her work, she was a woman of many passions. She cherished beach time, gardening, and entertaining, and spent several joyous summers with her children and grandchildren visiting at her summer home in Lewes, DE. Her adventurous spirit led her to travel throughout the United States and Europe on memorable bus trips. At Ann's Choice, she immersed herself in the chorale group and the ceramics group, creating lasting bonds and beautiful memories. Most of all, June cherished her time with family and friends, maintaining close ties with many, including her high school companions.
A devout woman of faith, June was an active member of both Bethel Baptist Church and Faith Baptist Church, drawing strength and solace from her spiritual community throughout her life.
June is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James M. Lloyd; her son, Donald Warner; and her sister, Audrey Hunsley. She is survived by her loving daughter, Janice Suessenguth (Chris); her devoted daughter-in-law, Jayne Warner; her cherished grandchildren, Michael Suessenguth (Lindsay), Jenna Gruber (Justin), Kristin Mays (Kit), and John Warner (Amanda); and her precious great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Ella, Tenley, and Alissa Warner; Noah and Eli Gruber; and Keira and Ken Mays. She also leaves behind Jim's children, Donna Abbott, Dawn Singleton, and Douglas Lloyd; and her dear sister, Ruth Ward.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate June's remarkable life on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Ann's Choice Chapel, located at 10000 Ann's Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974. The viewing will commence at 9:00 am, followed by a service at 10:15 am. Interment will take place at George Washington Memorial Park.
The family respectfully requests contributions in June's memory to America's Keswick Christian Retreat to support their Addiction Recovery Program at the address or link below.
June's legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
