Helen M. Conway, of Newtown, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, at 87 years. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert F. Conway.
Born in Philadelphia to the late Archie & Clara (nee Houde) Eno, Helen attended the two-room schoolhouse at Saint Andrew's in Newtown and graduated from Villa Joseph Marie High School in 1955. She briefly worked in Philadelphia before meeting and marrying Robert in 1960, they had four children. In 1982 Helen started working in administration for Newtown Township and the Newtown Township Police Department. After 20 years of faithful service, she retired in 2002. Helen appreciated spending quality time with her friends having coffee and visiting after church. She enjoyed doing all sorts of puzzles and playing board and card games with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She cherished spending time with her husband and family and eagerly anticipated family gatherings and dinner traditions. While her husband and children could tend to be a "handful" when they were together, she would always try keep them in line, while she may not have been successful in this endeavor she would have a twinkle in her eye and a smile as she prayed for the shenanigans to subside. Helen had a deep faith and reverence for the Lord; she had been an active parishioner of Saint Andrew's in Newtown for over 80 years.
Helen is survived by her beloved children: Daniel F. Conway and his wife Carolyn (nee Butler), Denise M. Conway (late husband Jay Hunsberger), Michael J. Conway and his wife Gerri (nee Dean), Matthew R. Conway and his wife Tara (nee Brereton), grandchildren: Joseph (wife Hydie), Mark, Shawn, Megan, Lucas, Bradley, Ann Marie (husband Derek), her sister, Sister Jean Annette Eno I.H.M. of Malvern, PA. and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a great-grandmother to Mary Rose. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Clara Eno, sister and brother-in-law, Claire and Paul Slaughter, and her son-in-law, Jay Hunsberger. She will be missed by all who love her.
Family and Friends are invited a Viewing on Thursday January 22, 2026 at Olde Church of St Andrew, 135 S Sycamore St,
Newtown, PA 18940, from 10:30 until the Funeral Mass at 11:30. Interment immediately to follow in St Andrew Cemetery.
