Fewell. Also, her many nieces and nephews, with special mention of her wonderful niece Kiann Cobb and nephews, Randi Baker and Daronne Police. All reside in the state of Connecticut.
Edith was Predeceased by Her Mom and Dad, Louise "Weezy" Police and Walter Police, Her brother Freddy Police, and Her nephew, Allen "JR" Cobb Jr.
Edith was Born and raised in Stamford, CT. She attended the Stamford school system until finishing high school, later moving to Bridgeport, where she resided for many years.
Edith worked as a USPS worker for many years and retired early. She enjoyed Eating, Sleeping, Watching Judge Judy, and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed causing havoc, she had a sharp tongue but a big heart. She could rip you a new one and give you the shirt off her back. That spunk stayed with her until the end – ask every nurse who crossed paths with her! At 17, Edith became a mother, and 20 years later, she lost her own. In her final days, she thought of her mom a lot. She wished she hadn't gone so soon and that she had more time to learn from her and of her. Tina was not the picture-perfect mom, but who is? She valued education and taught her girls how to speak up for themselves. Edith wanted her family to stick together through good and bad times. I'm sure when she went towards the light, it was her mom's silhouette extending her arms to greet, hug, and tell her how proud she was of all she did in raising her family. She now gets to continue as a guardian angel to all. When thinking of my mom, Adele's lyrics come to mind: Go easy on me, baby. I was still a child and didn't get the chance to feel the world around me. I had no time to choose what I chose to do, so go easy on me.
