Edith K. Shafto

Edith Kathleen Shafto 93 of Neptune, went home to be with the Lord on May 14th, 2023. Born in Spring Lake, she lived in the shore area all of her life, graduating from Manasquan High School in 1948.
Edith loved the Lord and enjoyed writing Christian poetry over the years. She lived in Neptune Twp and was an active member of the Community Bible Church in Shark River Hills since 1960. She loved animals, birds, flowers and gardening, all the lovely things God created and provided for our enjoyment. She also loved Country Antiques and collected many over the years.
She worked in the administration office in the Township of Neptune from 1985 until her retirement in 1995.
She was married to the love of her life Donald Shafto until 1985. She is pre-deceased by her daughter Dawn Cover of Pennsylvania. She is survived by her son Timothy Shafto of Neptune, her granddaughter Jennifer Pierro (Dawn Cover), husband Joe and their son Joey, her granddaughter Carrie Rose Conway (Dawn Cover) and her children Cheyenne and Jaxson. She is also survived by her sister Ruth Kerr of Little Egg Harbor, her daughter Debbie Jones, husband Ken. She is also survived by her brother Frank Carlson of Mesa Arizona, his daughter Susan Burns, husband George.
There will be a memorial service at Community Bible Church, 424 Lakewood Road, Neptune, on Saturday May 27 at 11:00 am.
