Edith Collett Smith age 89 of Annville passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025 at her residence. She was born August 26th, 1936 in Leslie County, KY to the late Claude and Linda Jane (Slusher) Smith.

Edith is survived by her 2 daughters Rita Hatfield (Lynn) and Lisa Anderson (Bill) all of Annville and the following step children: Edna, Maxine, Brenda, Tina, Michael, Steven, Mauldie, Linden, and Debbie as well as two brothers Raymond Smith (Nancy) and Kenneth Smith (Janice). She was also survived by seven grandchildren Christi Collett, Edith Michelle Hensley (Shawn), Julie Stith (Ben), Joe Collett (McKenzie), Jessica Shearer (Russ), Brian Anderson (Jatana), and Jonathan Anderson (LaTasha). She was blessed with twenty-four great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Edith was preceded in death by her first husband Roy Collett and then later in life by her second husband Walter Edward Smith, as well as her son Don Collett, stepdaughter Jeanice Smith, three brothers Vernon, Lonnie, and Homer Smith: two sisters Gail Sue Asher and Janet Slusher and one grandchild Don Roy Collett.

She was a member of the Annville United Methodist Church.

Funeral services for Edith Collett Smith will be held Monday at 1:00 PM at the Lakes Funeral Home in McKee with Brother Jonathan Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Collett-Smith Cemetery in Leslie County. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM until time of the funeral.

Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
