Edith A. Stables Edith A. Stables, 93, of Glenville, NY passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Baptist Health Center in Scotia after a long illness. Born on February 10, 1931, in Schenectady, NY she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Katherine Woodbury Benner. As a lifelong area resident, she attended local schools and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 1092. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Scotland or on a cruise ship. Her husband, David G. Stables, predeceased her in 2008; they were married September 11, 1950. In addition, she was predeceased by her sons, Kevin and Kurt Stables; and brothers, Phillip and Richard Benner. Survivors include her son, Kenneth (Peggy) Stables of Queensbury; grandchildren, Amy (Jeff) Fahey, Melissa (Bryant) Torres, and Tyler Stables; great-grandchildren, Oliver, Isabella, and Finnigan Fahey and Maddox and Killian Torres; along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services and interment took place in private at Memory Gardens in Colonie, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to a Veterans Organization of your choice.
