Edith Regis Morrison age 65 of Amarillo died suddenly on July 16, 2025.
A rosary will be said on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 South Georgia. The funeral mass will be on Monday, July 21, 2025, at 5:30 PM at St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church.
Born on April 5, 1960, in Cebu City, Philippines, Edith was the beloved daughter of Virgilio and Rosario Regis. From a young age, she was known for her dynamic spirit and outgoing personality. Editha had a deep love for dancing and brought joy and energy to every room she entered.
In pursuit of her dreams, she moved to the United States, where she built a meaningful career in the medical field. Most recently, she worked in the Imaging Department at BSA, where her dedication and compassionate nature left a lasting impression on colleagues and patients alike.
Edith loved people. She was energetic, athletic, and effortlessly likable—those who knew her were truly lucky. Her zest for life extended beyond work and family; she embraced every opportunity for adventure.
On January 24, 2002, she married the love of her life, Jimmy Morrison, in Las Vegas. That day marked the beginning of a beautiful 23-year journey filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. Together, they shared a passion for dancing and motorcycle rides, but they were just as content enjoying quiet, lazy days in each other’s company.
Edith and Jimmy loved to travel, creating cherished memories in Canada and her homeland, the Philippines. But no matter where life took her, Editha’s heart was always with her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved, and she took immense pride in each of them.
Edith's light shone brightly in every aspect of her life. Though her adventure ended far too soon, the love, warmth, and happiness she brought to the world will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Edith is survived by her husband Jim Morrison; her five sisters, Edna Regis of the Philippines, Evelyn Regis of Houston, Ellen Zulihga of the Philippines, Lorna Sonvilla of Houston, Juliet Vista of California; her brother; Virgilio Regis of the Philippines; her step daughters, Misty Connelly and her husband Schonn of Bedford and Stacie Morrison and her wife Courtney of Denver; and four grandchildren, Jocelynn Cochran, Kyler Lee and his wife Libbie; Shelby Morrison and August Connelly; and many loving nieces and nephews she adored.
