Nathan James Blankenburg of Dallas, Texas, was born December 27, 1996, in Dumas, Texas, to James and Davie Blankenburg.
Family visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 1, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Nathan graduated from Amarillo High before attending WTA&M in Canyon and then University of Texas Dallas. After graduation, he went to work for Zenoti wellness software. Dallas is where he met the love of his life, Branden Sayarath.
Nathan was a selfless, simple man. As long as others around him were happy, he was happy. He loved his family, his friends, his babies, and his Boo Bear. He was always smiling and made everyone around him do the same. He enjoyed long nights on the patio with his babies, game nights with the Boo, and writing his book. He loved writing and reading. His stories were always positive, and watching him type away, you could see how much it made him happy. Though he is not here anymore, he would still want us to feel his contagious positivity. Just know that everyone he had an impact on, also, had an impact on him.
Nathan was preceded in death by grandmothers Carolyn Blankenburg of Dumas. Nancy Wells and Dave Hernandez of Amarillo.
He is survived by Branden of the home, parents, James, and Davie Blankenburg of Amarillo; grandfather Lee Blankenburg of Dumas; brothers, Daniel and Spouse Krista Blankenburg of Amarillo, Bryan Blankenburg of Amarillo, Joshua and spouse Ciera Blankenburg of Amarillo, and Samuel Blankenburg of Dallas; sisters, Rebecca and spouse David Reeve of Dumas, Kristen Blankenburg and partner Darin Altamarano of Amarillo, Jenna Blankenburg of Amarillo, and Myriah Sanders of Dallas. He was a special "Noni" to 16 nieces and nephews, and 2 great-nieces.
