On November 26,1943, Edna Mary Sparks Turner-Craig was born to the parentage o Edna and Howard Sparks. Edna was a native of Waterproof, LA. She was a former resident of Algiers, LA. At the time of Edna's departure from Earth, she was a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Edna graduated from Waterproof HIgh School. Ms. Craig had 13 siblings. Edna was a loving sister, At a young age, Edna Mary was joined in holy matrimony to Irby Turner Senior. Six children were born to that union. Edna was a devoted mother. In fact, she was an active stay-at-home mom, and homemaker. Also, Ms. Edna was a missionary for God; she volunteerd for the food bank at Victory Temple of Deliverance. Additionally, Ms. Craig endeavored into the janitorial industry for several years. Edna instilled many positive values into her children. Ms. Edna raised her kids in the admonitoin of The Lord! In later years, Edna married Julius Craig. Edna Mary Sparks Turner-Craig was loved by many. Edna leaves to cherish her memories six children,; Joyce Turner- Anderson, Irby Turner-Junior, Tina Turner,Tess Turner-Roberts, Travis (Casey), and Edna Turner; grandchildren;Nikki Turner, Courtney Turner, Michael Turner, John Iyen, Lee Turner, Triumphant Jones, Divine Turner, Kaislyn Turner and a host of great and great-- great grandchildren; siblings, Ernest Sparks, Bertrand Sparks, Bessie Sparks-Brown, Sarah Sparks-Jones, Geraldine Sparks-Howard, Dawn Sparks, Bernice Sparks, and Veronica Sparks; familial friend; Angeline Sparks. Ms. Craig was preceeded in death by both her parents; Edna and Howard Sparks, siblings; Dorothy Jean Sparks-Grisby, Albert Sparks and Isaac Sparks; and both of her former husbands, Irby Turner-Senior and Julius Craig.
