Michael Edward Craig

Michael Edward Ray Craig, 33, of Newnan, Georgia, passed away on September 25, 2025.

Born July 17, 1992, Michael had a creative spirit and an inventive mind. He found joy in music of every kind, loved a good horror movie, and was happiest when building or fixing things with his hands.

Michael's journey included challenges, yet those who knew him will remember the warmth of his laugh, his sharp sense of humor, and the way he could turn any gathering into a story worth retelling. His loyalty to the people he loved never wavered. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Carolyn Murphy, his mother, Tina Sasser, and his uncle Edward.

Michael is survived by his fianc�, Shae Andrew; his brother, James (Cherae) Murphy; and his sister, Brittany (Kevin) Carter; stepbrother, Kevin Whitner; and stepsister, Kiesha Poston. He was a beloved uncle to nieces, Logan and Kaylen, Stella and Zoey and nephews, Michael Travis, Eston, and Rylan, and a proud great-uncle to Malachi. Michael's "chosen family" included Jackson (Katie) Parrish, Jimmie (Teresa) Rector, Devin Tree, Lori White, Krystal Gerrish, and Sherry Bright; wonderful neighbors, Michael Lampkin, Joan Kampkin, and Shay Williams; along with numerous other loved ones and cherished friends who will carry his memory forward.

A Celebration of Life for Michael will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Hillcrest Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, one hour prior to the service.
