Mitchell Cole Brown, age 34, of
Newnan, GA, passed away on Tuesday, September 30th at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. He was born on September 23rd, 1991, to his mother, Debbie Brown, in Alabama. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Mitchell Lee Brown and Bob Miller. Mitchell grew up in Sharpsburg, GA, and graduated from Northgate High School. Growing up, he was known for his mischievous pranks and a radiant smile that he always wore- perhaps his best feature. Young Mitch frequently greeted friends and strangers alike with a cheerful "Howdy, Neighbor," a habit that became the foundation of a lifetime of making people feel welcome. As he grew up, he discovered new passions in paintball, anime, gaming, and sports such as soccer and cross-country running. Mitchell's love was contagious. With a heart of gold and unparalleled generosity, he collected friends everywhere he went. His ability to turn even the most mundane tasks into adventures was renowned. As much as he loved enjoying Hot Pot with his family or friends, his compassion for others always ran deeper. His famous poor sense of direction did not prevent him from doing everything with an incredible work ethic or showing up for others, even strangers. By far, Mitch's greatest accomplishment was his family. He was a proud, tender father who lit up when he was with his wife or daughter. He went to great lengths to ensure their security, happiness and make ordinary days feel like special adventures. Whether it was making his pregnant wife homemade blackberry cobbler at midnight or taking an odd job out-of-state, he did everything to ensure the comfort of his loved ones. His love showed up not just in the grand moments but in a thousand everyday acts of love; Mitch himself, showed up for them every day with the same steady devotion that defined his life. Everyone whose life he touched carries a missing piece now- and the gift of having known him. The celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 4th at 1:00 o'clock in the afternoon at McKoon Funeral Home followed by a brief ceremony at 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon. In lieu of flowers, the family has sent up a fund to support Mitch's wife, daughter and unborn son: GoFundMe.
