Brandrais P. Thomas, age 29, of Newnan, Georgia, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025. He was born on March 22, 1995, to Kamal Thomas and LARhonda Parks Coley.
Brandrais was a proud graduate of Northgate High School, class of 2014. His professional journey began at Yamaha, where he dedicated ten years of his life to honing his skills and contributing to the company. Most recently, he worked as an extrusion operator at Southwire for the past six months, a role he excelled in due to his strong work ethic and attention to detail.
An exceptionally intelligent and ambitious individual, Brandrais was planning to further his education by returning to school to study Information Technology, a field he was deeply passionate about. His enthusiasm for technology was evident in his love for working on computers.
In addition to his professional interests, he found joy and relaxation in fishing, often spending time outdoors. The fresh air and the rhythmic sounds of nature provided a perfect backdrop for relaxation, allowing him to unwind and recharge amidst the beauty of the outdoors.
Brandrais is survived by his loving mother and stepfather, LARhonda and Willie Lee Coley; his father, Kamal Thomas; his caring maternal grandmother, Mary Jean Parks; his paternal grandmother, Betty Thomas; his cherished sisters, Kimberly Gomez, Kya Thomas, and Rza Thomas; step-siblings, Darius Coley, Neal Coley, Desmond Coley, and Lea Coley; and his nephews, Elijah King Slaton and Malakai Je'von Slaton. He is also remembered by a wide network of aunts and uncles, including Tony and Tasha Johnson, Rachel Fendley and Danny Fendley, David and Shannon Parks, Bridget Garrison, Rasheda Thomas, Amir Thomas, and Joshua Lowe; cousin, Sara Benson; along with numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Brandrais was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, David Parks Sr., and his paternal grandfather, Larry Thomas, who left a lasting impact on his family.
A funeral service will honor and celebrate Brandrais' life on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home, with Pastor Randy Hall and Pastor James Parks officiating. Entombment will follow in the West Georgia Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM. The family appreciates the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
